25TH ANNUAL APA COMMUNITY HOLIDAY TOY DRIVE & RECEPTION This fundraiser benefits low-income children in the greater LA area. Donations are being taken online for the toy drive with a reception on December 5th with food, drinks and entertainment. Minyard Morris Assistant Managing Partner Alexander Payne, CFLS has received the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s (NAPABA) 2024 “Best Under 40” Award at the 2024 NAPABA Convention in Seattle. The award honors the work of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPI). National Asian Pacific American Bar Association is the nation’s largest Asian-Pacific American membership organization, representing the interests of 80,000 attorneys, judges, law professors, and law students. Approximately 10 people across North America receive this prestigious award annually. The NAPABA “Best Under 40” Award recognizes members of the AANHPI legal community who have achieved exceptional prominence in their respective fields, including academia, business, civic and charitable affairs, the judiciary, or politics. Alexander received this award due to his inspiring background, involvement in various legal communities, and exceptional skill in family law. Alex’s work offering free legal assistance to low-income residents and volunteering for Orange County Korean American Bar Association Foundation’s legal clinics also factored into this honor. https://lnkd.in/eaZKXwjE

OPERATION SANTA CLAUS TOY DRIVE In partnership with the County of Orange County Social Services Agency, we will be collecting toys at the December 3rd Dim Sum Mixer [https://lnkd.in/gmgrTi3M] for their Operation Santa Claus program. This program provides gifts and toys to children who are abandoned, neglected, and/or abused and are placed in foster care in Orange County. In addition, Operation Santa Claus provides holiday gifts to children of disadvantaged families who are receiving services from the County of Orange. Donors will receive one drawing ticket for each toy for a drawing to be held at the end of the event. All new, unwrapped toys are welcome!
