🫁1.6 million nodules, 1.6 million moments that matter. Each year, 1.6 million Americans are diagnosed with incidental pulmonary nodules. But here’s the harsh reality: over 60% of these cases are lost to follow-up, leaving patients in limbo and lives at risk. This isn’t just a number, it’s a wake-up call! At Oncoswab, we’re here to make sure those moments don’t slip away. With our non-invasive nasal swabs, we’re aiming at closing these gaps, prioritizing early detection, and ensuring follow-up care stays on track. Because behind every number is a life, and every life deserves a fighting chance. #Lungcancerawarenessmonth #lungcancer #earlydetection

Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers worldwide, yet screening policies haven’t caught up with this reality. Right now, screenings focus almost entirely on people with a history of heavy smoking. But here’s the truth: thousands of people diagnosed with lung cancer every year have never smoked a cigarette in their life. Where does that leave them? 📍Left out of critical screenings. 📍Misunderstood. 📍Invisible in the larger conversation. It’s time to change that. Lung cancer doesn’t follow stereotypes, and our policies shouldn’t either. We need screening guidelines that reflect the full spectrum of risk, greater research, and inclusive policies that give everyone a fighting chance. No one should feel unseen in this fight. Let’s move this conversation forward - because every story deserves a voice! #Lungcancerawarenessmonth #lungcancer #earlydetection

Nothing is more anxiety-inducing than waiting for a potential life-changing diagnosis. Exactly this is what Johannes, an advocate and OncoSwab investor, experienced. A few years ago, after dealing with a persistent cough, Johannes decided to get it checked out, thinking it was nothing serious. However, doctors found a nodule on his lung during a CT scan. This unexpected news was concerning, and the possibility that it could be lung cancer weighed heavily on his mind. He was told he had to wait three months before a biopsy could determine if the nodule was malignant. Those months were challenging, filled with anxiety and uncertainty. He found it difficult to focus on his university studies; lectures and assignments became hard to manage under the stress. Eventually, he stopped studying and put his life on hold. He couldn't find the mental space to continue as usual. When the biopsy results finally came back after three long months as benign, the relief was immense. Johannes felt like he could breathe again. But he also realized how much those months had affected him - missed moments with loved ones, setbacks in his education, and an impact on his mental well-being. During this Lung Cancer Awareness Month, Johannes wants to highlight the need for better resources and support systems for those awaiting important medical results. If you or someone you know is going through something similar, please know that you're not alone. Reach out to friends, family, or support groups. Sharing fears and concerns can make a significant difference. He emphasizes that early detection and quicker diagnostic processes are crucial not just for physical health, but for mental and emotional well-being as well. At OncoSwab, it is exactly because of stories like Johannes's that we are striving to make early detection as accessible and timely as possible to give everyone the certainty they deserve. #Lungcancerawareness #Lungcancer

🌬️ 1 in 5 people diagnosed with lung cancer have never smoked. Lung cancer awareness isn’t just about smokers—it’s about everyone. Whether you’re a smoker or not, cancer doesn’t discriminate. Anyone with lungs can get lung cancer. Now, the question is: what can we do to increase early diagnosis in non-smokers? At OncoSwab, it’s all about non-invasive testing and accessibility. And that’s what we’re striving for. #LungCancerAwareness #LungCancerScreening #CancerScreening #LungCancer
