Open Broadband is an Internet Service Provider, offering a hybrid Fiber and Wireless last-mile broadband service to underserved areas. Headquartered just outside Charlotte, NC, we are currently engaged with communities throughout the Carolinas, Virginia, and Florida. We've been ranked in the Charlotte Business Journal Fast 50 growing company list in 2021, 2022, and 2023 We specialize in working with a city/county to form a public-private partnership (PPP) to leverage existing assets such as towers, street lights, and existing fiber. We customize each PPP in one of the following ways: 1. Open Broadband investment, public facilitation 2. Open Broadband execution, public funding 3. Shared investment and risk Open Broadband offers a unique solution consisting of: • Highly experienced data and telecom experts, who have been responsible for community networks, and know how to make them work. • Experience in working with local governments. • Open and flexible in solutions. We want to get internet service to everyone we can, even if it means helping residents install a Starlink dish like this one in Gloucester VA. The self-install kits are great, but mounting on a roof like this and running the cables through the house requires a structured cabling technician. If you live in our service area for fixed-wireless or fiber, great! But if not, we can still help residents with satellite or cellular options. We just want to get people online. Broadband access is vital for enabling virtual healthcare. https://lnkd.in/eQpDnMMV? It allows patients to connect with doctors remotely, improving convenience and access to quality care, especially for underserved communities. Reliable high-speed internet enables secure video consultations, remote patient monitoring, and seamless data sharing between providers - enhancing healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. It is great to see that the VA is looking to expand access to virtual healthcare consults by funding the creation of such access points at non-VA facilities in rural or medically underserved areas.
