Autumn brought us crisp air, sunny skies, and a (un)expected visit from Marcel Bilow and Alessandra Luna Navarro of Delft University of Technology to Eurac Research! Their mission: to film interviews for the upcoming #Theory and #Technology 2 course. With Miren Juaristi Gutiérrez of Institute for Renewable Energy – Eurac Research, we dived deep into the fascinating world of façade testing and monitoring in Eurac Research labs. We talked about designing façades for user #comfort, thermal performance testing of multifunctional #façade elements, the significance of humidity testing in façade design... and much more, which you will soon discover in our Theory and Technology 2 course! Thanks to all those that shared their expertise and love for façades: Dagmar Exner, Francesco Isaia, Giuseppe De Michele, Marco Larcher, Stefano Avesani. What a fantastic time at #FASSADE 2024: Circular! 🌍 A big thank you to the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts for hosting such an inspiring event. The conference was an excellent venue to discuss the future of #circular #façade design with experts from #architecture, engineering, and research. It’s clear that sustainable, circular facades are the way forward for our industry. Meet the façade experts! Did you know Delft University of Technology's Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment has been working on and teaching about #façades for over two decades? That's right, they have taught generation of students how to make building #envelope look and function great! The MSc course "Facade Technoledge," counts about 80 students each year. They also have many MSc thesis projects focusing on glass design. In the bachelor's program, over 300 students learn about Façade Design and Engineering each year.
