We are thrilled to have our CEO, Ed Jamison, speaking at the upcoming Best Friends National Conference! Ed will be presenting To the Rescue: Empowering Field Officers to Lead Lifesaving Efforts. Animal shelters have a unique opportunity to expand their lifesaving efforts through strategic use of shelter field services and officer involvement. Attendees will learn innovative ways to harness the potential of field service officers as essential contributors to lifesaving programs. We will explore how officers can play a pivotal role in community engagement, proactive animal welfare interventions, and strengthening partnerships with local resources. You'll leave knowing how to enhance collaboration between field officers and shelter operations to increase the number of lives saved. We can't wait to see you all in Palm Springs!

As we begin 2025, it’s the perfect opportunity to reflect back on 2024 and all of the incredible things you made possible for the animals. 🐶 😺 2024 paved the way for major growth at Operation Kindness. We opened our Lifesaving Partnerships Hub, surpassed 1,000 animal transfers from Dallas Animal Services and helped community pets with our mobile veterinary unit. Heading into 2025, we’ll be working harder than ever to make the world a kinder place for pets and the people who love them. Thanks to your support, there’s no stopping us as we ensure that animals get lifesaving medical care, food to eat and loving homes this year. We’re so grateful to have you along for the journey. 💕

Our medical team is in need of newspapers and paper! We are running low on our supply and could use your help. 📰 Any non coated or glossy paper is welcome. Having newspaper and paper to use or shred on hand, allows us to keep enclosures cleaner and is used temporarily in our surgery suite and intake areas. It is the best way for us to prevent cross-contamination, as the newspaper is discarded after each use. If you have any newspaper or paper to spare, we would greatly appreciate it! You can bring your donations to our shelter during business hours. We greatly appreciate your support. 💓
