☀️Even in the winter, we are taking advantage of the California sun. We’re one of the first to bring solar panels to senior housing. Alongside our partners Watermark Retirement Communities, Wunder and Harrison Street, we added solar panels to the clay roof and carports at The Hacienda Mission San Luis Rey. It’s a win/win: we are reducing our carbon footprint and lowering our expenses as a community.

The wave of Baby Boomers is coming, and we can't stop developing senior housing communities. Shannon Rusk, our VP of Development, spoke to audiences during a panel discussion at the recent REBUILD conference, hosted by Senior Housing News. Here are the highlights: ⭐ Investor demand is strong. Developers need to get past some uncertainty in the market. ⭐ Oppidan's approach is not to wait around for development conditions to change, which is why we continue to develop senior housing communities in Minnesota and California. ⭐ We keep moving forward and our communities are fully stabilized within eight months. ⭐ Not forging ahead with new development now is a mistake when the demand wave will be at an all time high in a few years.
