Orb Aerospace is excited to announce our venture into Large Scale Additive Manufacturing. Our cell was designed in partnership with Massive Dimension, is capable of both additive operations of up to 60lbs of material per hour, and subtractive 6-9 axis CNC cutting operations. Lots of exciting opportunities to come.

The team has put a lot of time and energy into our aircraft that we refer to as "MK 2.0". In this three part series you can see all of the victories and trials the team faced while bringing this aircraft from concept to a fully functional flying prototype. https://lnkd.in/gYh4VpFy
Our team pushed to make this happen, and it is an incredible milestone for us. We are excited to keep innovating and pushing the limits.
Our team persevered the past several months to make our homegrown Mk 2.0 prototype successfully transition from hover to forward flight from a simchair, i.e. a virtual cockpit. It's a major milestone for us that pushed a lot of us to the limit of what we can do. It was challenging and risky on many levels, but also a lot of fun, rewarding, and empowering. Just want to encourage anyone working towards a goal that may seem out of reach - keep at it! Don't give up. Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Break the problem down further if needed and do the next small thing that moves you forward. This is just the beginning...
