About us
Override is an accessible, one-stop-shop where patients are connected virtually with pain physicians, physical therapists, behavioral health providers, and coaches. We use a team-based, integrated care model to create a more supportive, effective clinical experience and arm patients with the tools to become self-managers of their own pain experience and broader health. When providers work together, patients do better. (Previously this page belonged to Take Courage Coaching. TCC was acquired by Override in May 2022.)

Corporate leaders: Do you support employees struggling with chronic pain? For many employees, navigating the workplace while living with chronic pain is an invisible battle. The New York Times published an article yesterday that sheds light on the daily challenges faced by millions of Americans. 😥 Imagine your team members having to think twice about standing in a meeting to ease their back pain or declining a happy hour invite because fatigue makes socializing impossible. 🔻 These aren’t minor concerns—they are constant reminders of how chronic pain shapes their lives and work experiences. As corporate leaders, you have the power to create an environment that accommodates employees with chronic pain and actively supports their well-being. Want to make a difference? ✅ Flexible work arrangements ✅ Accessible accommodations ✅ Fostering a culture of understanding By recognizing their needs and reducing stigma, you’ll enhance their quality of life and build a workplace where empathy drives performance and loyalty. #ChronicPain #WorkplaceWellness #InclusiveLeadership Read more here: https://lnkd.in/e4pCmsnu

As the holiday season offers a moment for reflection, we are excited to share highlights of Override Health’s progress and our plans for continued impact in transforming chronic pain care. Expanding Access to Care: • We are now operational in 9 states, partnering with 28 payers covering 74 benefit plans, with our list of partnerships continuing to grow. • Our provider team has grown to over 40 in-house chronic pain experts, including specialists in pain medicine, physical therapy, psychology, and coaching. Patient Impact: Data from our patient-reported outcomes highlights the meaningful difference Override Health is making: • 96% report satisfaction with their Override care team. • 83% agree their pain is now better managed through Override Health. • 30% of patients who came to us on opioids report reduced opioid use. One patient of ours stated: “Before I found this program, I was lost, and this program has given me focus. Everyone in chronic pain should have a program like this.” Another shared: “The program is excellent and the staff is both caring and competent. I have made immense progress using the tools and techniques I've learned in the program. I have already recommended the program to several people.” Market Momentum: • Comprehensive Chronic Pain Management: Override’s unique interdisciplinary model, combining pain medicine, physical therapy and behavioral health, continues to resonate with payers, providers, and health systems. We recently signed a national contract with a major payer and state/regional contracts with several others. • Medicaid Pilot in Michigan: Preliminary results demonstrate lower utilization, reduced total cost of care, and improved primary care utilization—a testament to our model’s effectiveness. Strong Execution: • SOC 2 Certification: We are pleased to announce that we have received our SOC 2 certification, underscoring our commitment to operational and data security excellence. • Serving Military Veterans: This year, we launched a veterans disability exam service line, providing evaluations for mental health conditions and Traumatic Brain Injury through partnerships with various organizations. We anticipate serving nearly 2,000 veterans in 2025. We also continue to serve as Community Care Network providers to treat veterans experiencing chronic pain. Future Growth Opportunities: • Growing partnerships with referring provider partners in primary care and other key departments within health systems to expand access to our services. • Partnering with payers to conduct direct outreach to their members suffering from chronic pain. Building a Strong Foundation for 2025: As we prepare for the next phase of growth, we are beginning a capital raise in early 2025, aimed at fueling continued innovation and impact. We are grateful for the patients, providers, partners, and supporters who share our vision for transforming pain care. Together, we’re making a significant difference in our patients' lives.
