Great day at the Western Air Defense Sector, 225 ADS annual offsite meeting. With the support of Peter L. Hickman, John M. , and Rivanita Tudela I was able to facilitate Nikolai Gregory Galle’s Solve Next Deflection Point and Anchors and Rockets exercises to get the participants ready to develop an Alpha Innovation Hypothesis based on Jeff DeGraff, Robb Olsen and Kate Olsen’s innovation framework for the Commander’s tentative 2025 vision pertaining to mission, training, and developing people. Shout out to Christopher Pavel and the Pacific Northwest Mission Acceleration Center for being an awesome resource! This stuff works!!

Chris Groves was invited to join a panel at the Venture Black conference last weekend.  He enjoyed the opportunity to build the innovation ecosystem, share food for thought on how startups can use SBIR/STTR as a source of capital, and his perspective on how to layer SBIR/STTR non-dilutive funding and other dilutive funding sources.  Additionally, Chris was pleased to meet several innovative startups with defense tech application cases.
