About us
The NHS Procurement Graduate scheme offers graduates a chance to join procurement teams in NHS organisations across England. The Procurement Graduate Training Scheme is a highly-focused development pathway for graduates to become the next NHS procurement middle managers and beyond. The 2-year scheme gives graduates a unique insight into how an NHS organisation operates. Participants will learn how to source, procure, receipt and deliver to internal customers across the organisation. The scheme is designed to offer graduates varied challenges and opportunities to help build skills and knowledge. Our aim is to introduce new talent to the procurement departments, help graduates to develop across the range of areas and progress within the organisation. We are looking for confident and eager individuals who want a career in procurement, delivering deeper value for money in an ever changing organisation. Graduates should be keen to get involved and access all there is to offer on the programme. We are open for applications until Wednesday 7th February 2024 via our website.

As a graduate scheme we try our best to ensure that our graduates get the best experience as they learn about and find their way through NHS Procurement. This month, we were glad to be hosted by Lyreco UK and Ireland as we took our Cohort 3 graduates through a tour of the Lyreco warehouse in Telford. The tour was organised so well and the team put in so much efforts to make the visit worthwhile 👏 😄 We look forward to doing this again, thank you Lyreco!

Supported by Emily Rose Bell & Andrew Bryers MSc MBa CEM on all things Lyreco CSR, with some great talks from Ali Hendy & Chloe Watts around our Lyreco Intersafe UK & Ireland and a fantastic tour of our NDC. Last month I had the opportunity to speak at the London Skills Development Network PSD Leads conference. I spoke with Caron Godbold-Darbyshire and Alia Husain, reflecting on our experiences on the Pathways 2 NHS Procurement graduate scheme and our time in the NHS so far. It was also a lovely chance to meet NHS procurement professionals from other London trusts and listen to some great speakers and talks.

It was a privilege to attend the Health Care Supply Association (HCSA) Winter Conference at Telford International Centre last week. The conference was a great opportunity to hear from the top voices across NHS Procurement and catch up with my fellow graduates on the Pathways 2 NHS Procurement Grad Scheme. We also managed to fit in an eye-opening site visit to Lyreco's National Distribution Centre and hear from their procurement and sustainability teams about the impactful work they are doing across the country. Thanks very much to the Health Care Supply Association (HCSA), NHS Shared Business Services, Lyreco Intersafe UK & Ireland, and Pathways 2 NHS Procurement for this opportunity. It's great to see such a strong commitment to developing and growing the influence of our industry!
