Last Wednesday, we hosted the 12th Annual Courage Awards Luncheon presented by C&C Services. 360 dedicated supporters joined us to celebrate the start of Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the efforts of those who have made an important difference in the lives of domestic violence survivors and their children. This year, Peace at Home had the distinct pleasure of recognizing The Honorable Joanna Taylor as the 2024 Courage Awardee. Judge Taylor’s consistent prioritization of victim protection and family rehabilitation has made a significant impact on the way survivors navigate the legal system. Peace at Home is incredibly grateful for her advocacy and tireless work. Together, we raised over $45,000 to provide safe shelter and support to families fleeing abuse here in our community! Throwback to this Monday, when we celebrated the incredible support of the Fayetteville Junior Civic League alongside other grant recipients for 2023-2024. 🎉 The Junior Civic League’s investment in local nonprofits allows us to continue making a difference in NWA. Together, we’re helping survivors of domestic violence find safety and healing.

Today we’re celebrating our amazing team of counselors, including the MSW students who joined Peace at Home’s intern cohort this year! In 2023, the counseling team helped over 70 adults and kids in NWA recover from domestic violence.
