AI Readiness: There's a Gap Between Vision and Reality. While 87% of business leaders believe their data is AI-ready, IT practitioners paint a very different picture. According to a recent survey, 70% of IT pros spend 1- 4 hours a day fixing data issues, and 14% spend over 4 hours per day. Many executives also don’t consider the challenges of legacy systems with limited input fields, as well as data quality and data hygiene issues. This is especially important for biotech organizations with complex, diverse datasets from clinical trials, R&D, patient records, and general business needs. AI will be transformative for biotechnology organizations, but it will require data cleanup, new data policies, and assessing and creating a plan for legacy systems and data. You won’t get accurate AI results and insights unless you address data quality issues first. Contact us if you need help creating a plan. New research found that 65% of employees admit to bypassing security policies to boost productivity. How can you combat this trend? The tension between security and efficiency is creating vulnerabilities that even the most advanced systems can't fully protect against. A new survey found the following employee trends: ▪ 49% reuse passwords across work apps. ▪ 80% access workplace apps from unsecured personal devices. ▪ 52% have shared confidential workplace data externally. ▪ 38% use AI tools without adhering to company data policies. Protecting intellectual property is critical for #biotech organizations, and you need to prioritize mitigating human errors, which are among the leading entry points for #databreaches. So, how can #biotechnology organizations strike a balance between productivity and security? Start by adding password managers and regular employee cybersecurity awareness training. If your team has the tools and knows why cybersecurity is crucial, they are more likely to follow your training protocols and rules.
