Improving quality of life and building strong communities is at the core of our Delivering Hope To Our Neighbors® outreach. We were proud to help our neighbors in Conoy Township celebrate a new edition – a wooden train – to the Arch Street Playground in Bainbridge, Pennsylvania. The new equipment was funded by a grant from the Perdue Foundation. “The Arch Street playground has been a community attraction for many years and serves the community by providing a safe and fun area for children and families to enjoy,” said Kevin Woleab, manager of the Perdue AgriBusiness crush facility in Bainbridge. “We’re happy to lend our support to the revitalization of the playground.”

  • On behalf of our whole team here at PAB, happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!   This year and every year, we are so thankful for our amazing associates, farmers, and customers. And of course, an extra-special thank you goes out to the associates at our 24/7 facilities in Bainbridge, Chesapeake, Cofield, and Salisbury. We couldn’t do what we do without you!

  • The Miss Madeline, our first-ever liquid barge, traveled from Chesapeake, VA to Salisbury, MD this week transporting crude soybean oil for processing at our Edible Oil Refinery. We’re so proud of our team for their hard work and thankful for our partners who all had a hand in making this project a reality.

  • This past week, our amazing team worked around the clock on this historic accomplishment: loading the Miss Madeline, our first-ever liquid barge, with crude soybean oil for transport to our refinery.   Associates and partners in Chesapeake, VA loaded the barge for transport to Salisbury, MD. We’ve been transporting grain via barge for 50 years, and we’re thrilled to be able to do the same with vegetable oil now that we’ve added the Miss Madeline to our fleet.

  • We LOVE having the opportunity annually to send packages to associates’ family members serving our country around the globe during the holidays!   Our VARG (Veterans Associate Resource Group) organizes this project every year, and this was one for the books. Yesterday, we assembled dozens of packages of snacks and Perdue cheer in hopes of brightening the day of the men and women serving the USA around the world.    VARG members had a great time assembling packages, and we’re so grateful to all the associates who donated items to send.

  • Our team in Chesapeake STAYS BUSY. Just this week, we’re unloading soybeans from the Northern Neck, loading our oil barge, loading a Panamax vessel with American grain to send to Italy, and unloading Midwest grain from railcars…and that’s not counting our truck traffic! Huge thanks to our associates in Chesapeake who make the magic happen, day in and day out. We’re thankful for you!

  • Today, we honored PAB Veterans and all those who have served at a ceremony at our headquarters.   Veterans Day is a special time to pause and honor every individual who has worn the uniform. We remember, celebrate, and honor our associates who have served—as well as their sons, daughters, siblings, parents, grandparents, relatives, and friends who have done the same.   We are so thankful for their service and sacrifice!

  • Last week, Gary Cordier (SVP Grain and Oilseed) participated in the XBX Exploring Biofuels Regional Seminar. This conference, touted as “a comprehensive symposium on the four pillars of energy transition,” brought together a diverse group of thought leaders for discussions about using low carbon liquid fuels.   Gary sat on the “Scalability of Production” panel and spoke to attendees about the key challenges dealing with and practical solutions needed to scale production of low-carbon liquid fuels to meet the market need.
