Personality Pool helps flip the candidate pool to identify strong candidates that have the right personality rather than filter on resume key words and hope to identify good candidates. Works extremely well for entry-level positions or roles where personality matters more than experience. The screening platform enables video interviewing, virtual resume building, AI-driven speech analytics along with confidence and personality scoring.

    Why Screening for Personality is the Hiring Trend to Watch in 2025🔮 (always looking for a reason to whip out my crystal ball emoji) Traditional personality assessments have long been a go-to in hiring, but when it comes to customer-facing roles, they really don't make sense. These roles aren’t about checking boxes—they’re about bringing energy, PERSONALITY, and connection to life. A multiple-choice test can’t capture the warmth or genuine communication skills that make someone a standout in these positions. The Limitations of Traditional Personality Assessments: Static Results: They don’t show dynamic traits like energy or approachability. And I think it goes without saying that anyone can gamify a personality test. If I am applying for a customer service role I am going to answer the questions in a way that make me appear like a strong candidate true or not lol No Real Context: A score on "openness" doesn’t reveal how someone handles a challenging customer. What does that even mean?! Impersonal Experience: It feels incredibly sterile to the candidates. There is nothing personal about it. We believe the future of hiring lies in tools that let you see personality come to life—not just read about it. Here’s how we’re leading the charge: 1. Authenticity First: Candidates answer 3-5 video-based questions, giving you a direct look at how they communicate and connect. 2. Efficiency Built In: Skip time-consuming pre-screens and focus on candidates who already stand out. 3. Engaging for Candidates: A modern, interactive process that reflects your commitment to hiring the best talent. As we move into 2025, hiring for customer-facing roles will be less about static assessments and more about screening for personality in action.     I have tried with all of my might but I just don't do well with a standard linkedin update--I am co-founder of a video based platform so this just makes way more sense for me 😃 Video content is in my blood! So...weekly video update on all things Personality Pool volume 1: Cliff notes for anyone who doesn't want to hear me talk for five minutes straight (even though I personally can't imagine anyone would pass on that opportunity) 1. We hired a fractional CMO! Maureen Roberts is a top notch marketing expert who is already getting me in line. We are excited about the energy & expertise she is bringing to our team! 2. We just completed another really exciting pilot that we have *high hopes* will be converting to a customer very soon. They were so gracious to give us such important feedback which continues to inform who our ICP truly is & how we can better serve them. 3. Hosting our very first webinar on Wednesday & already have some really great companies registered to join us. Hoping this is the first of many! 4. Met with one of my role models who also happens to be my coach Jane (Karwoski) McCracken twice over the last week to talk all things strategy --she is always such a source of inspiration and motivation!   • "You can teach someone to make coffee...but you can't teach someone to be nice" We spent last weekend at Coffee Fest meeting with 100's of Coffee Shop owners to talk primarily about the pain points they face when hiring. During one conversation Ryan Shipley said to a hiring manager "You can teach someone to make coffee...but you can't teach someone to be nice". You could see the lightbulb go off because it's so true! And not just in the coffee world, but in any industry hiring for customer facing roles.     With three weeks to spare we decided to do our first trade-show. I was freaking out (to put it lightly 😂 ) If you have ever participated in a trade-show YOU KNOW how much work & money goes into just getting there. You would think being an entrepreneur for 10+ years now, I would be more comfortable making quick & potentially risky decisions....but sometimes I still have to be *lovingly* pushed to just rip the bandaid off & GO FOR IT. This was the first time I’ve had the chance to see people interact with Personality Pool at scale & I’ll never, ever, ever forget it. I still fight imposter syndrome everyday & nobody is more shocked than me that the girl who doesn’t even update her phone has a tech company….but here we are! We left with customers, channel partners, new learnings & so many great memories. Thankful for every person that has believed in me these last 10 years. YOU have made it all feel possible.
