🎉 Exciting News! 🎉
We’re proud to announce that Perx Health is one of the first companies awarded the DiMe Seal by the Digital Medicine Society (DiMe), launched at HLTH USA last week and accepted by Kelsey.
🔥 There's a problem in digital health with trust and believability. Vendors promise the world, but many customers find that digital solutions fall short on implementation.
🤝 DiMe are solving this problem by independently evaluating digital solutions, and providing a "DiMe seal." Their cross-disciplinary experts evaluate best practices in usability, accessibility, evidence, privacy, security, and equity.
We’re thrilled to be a part of this innovative community, raising the bar for digital health. Learn more about Perx's evidence base at https://lnkd.in/g_RZ49sG#DigitalHealth#DiMeSeal#HealthcareInnovation#Trust#EvidenceBased#PerxHealth
Despite immersing myself in the US healthcare system over the last few years, my accent very quickly gives me away I'm not originally from the US!
I'm very proud to be presenting this year at HLTH USA, the pre-eminent global healthcare innovation conference, about the value of looking outside the US for healthcare innovation... maybe with a slight bias towards Australia 🇦🇺
Massive thank you to ANDHealth, Bronwyn Le Grice and Shaun McAlpine for making this happen.
When we started Perx Health we were inspired to bring an outsiders' perspective to the intractable problem of healthcare engagement and adherence in chronic care. Many of our early team members were mobile game gurus, social media specialists and consumer promotions pros. As outsiders we applied strategies that we had seen work so effectively in other industries to help supposedly "disengaged" individuals engage with their health, build daily habits and stick to their treatment plans.
The results have been game-changing with high-risk patients enrolling, engaging and sticking to our programs at rates that are magnitudes above typical digital health. As we grew we surrounded these engagement experts with a go-to-market team, advisors and investors that live and breathe healthcare. This has enabled us to navigate the complexities of landing large payer clients, demonstrating real-world value and proving our results empirically in clinical research. The combination of outsider perspective coupled with insider knowledge creates a force to be reckoned with.
In many ways, it feels like our expansion from Australia to the US has had a similar dynamic. You clearly need in-market healthcare expertise to succeed in a system as complex as the US, and we've been incredibly lucky to have people from some of the largest US payers and digital health companies in the country join our team.
However, in order to drive change and innovation in any company or industry you need people to be constantly asking the question "why do you do it this way?" That's a lot easier to embed as a cultural norm when you have people who have spent their entire lives in a different system that does things very differently.
Our Australian team is constantly learning from our US team, and our US team is constantly learning from our Australian team. Those fresh perspectives make both sides of our business better, and encourages a culture of questioning the status quo. This creates better products, better programs, better experiences and better results for all our clients whether they're trying to drive "behavior" or "behaviour" change in their high-risk members.

Next week our very own Scott Taylor will be on a panel discussion at HLTH USA.
Scott, Drew Schiller of Validic and Lisa Suennen, GCB.D of AHA Ventures will be exploring the value of looking overseas for solutions to US healthcare challenges. Single-payer systems, different funding and regulatory environments, and hopefully koalas 🐨 will all get a look-in.
🕗 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM PDT

Thank you to ANDHealth, Bronwyn Le Grice and Shaun McAlpine for this opportunity.
