Helping Pets and People in Los Angeles: Petco Love in Action 🌟 In response to the devastation caused by the Southern California wildfires, Petco Love is working collaboratively with disaster response organizations, including Los Angeles Animal Services and Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control, the NATIONAL ANIMAL RESCUE AND SHELTERING COALITION, FEMA, ASPCA, Best Friends Animal Society, and others to deliver critical support to impacted pets and their people. Here is how we are helping:   💜 On the Ground staffing: Petco Love team members are at LA Animal Services supporting an emergency foster care program and, along with other agencies, providing customer service to LA community members wanting to help by adopting or fostering a pet, to make much-needed room for displaced pets from the fires. 💜 Reuniting Lost Pets: Petco Love’s free, national lost and found database, Petco Love Lost, is the central tool being used to help reunite lost pets in this disaster. Petco Love Lost provides a 24/7 resource for pet families who've become separated from their pets and enables reunions with photo-matching technology. Petco Love Lost integrates with local shelters, social media sites, Nextdoor and Neighbors, to create one central database for lost pets. 💜 Grant Funding: Petco Love has provided crates and other supplies for pet transport of pets and is supporting organizations, including LA Animal Services, County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control, Pasadena Humane, and other organizations, with initial funding for disaster relief and other lifesaving efforts at $250,000. Our support is expected to increase throughout this disaster. Our steadfast commitment is to support our partners to be the most effective in their relentless efforts to save pet lives.
