Inclusivity at libraries makes a difference for library users everywhere. With inclusivity in mind, PPLD has added adaptive kits to our programs. These kits will be available during PPLD programs so that everyone can enjoy Library programs regardless of ability. Kits include items like hand grippers, larger needles, tweezers to pick up beads, and more! #PPLD #PublicLibrary #Adaptive #Accessible #LibraryProgram

The numbers are in, and our community made excellent use of their Library in 2024! We had almost 2 million visitors last year. That's like if everyone living in El Paso County visited the Library two and a half times! eLibrary use was up, and nearly 60,000 unique people used their library cards every month. We also saw more people signing up for library cards, using meeting rooms and computers, and participating in our annual programs. Did you know that East Library's architecture is based on the Carnegie Library building now attached to Penrose Library? We learned a lot at the unveiling of the permanent When East Was East exhibit at East Library last Saturday. Stop by any time the Library is open to see the installation in-person, and dive deeper into the history of the Eastern edge of Colorado Springs with the online portion of the gallery at ppld.org/when-east #PikesPeakRegion #ColoradoHistory #PublicLibrary #ElPasoCounty
