Our Moorefield, WV, prepared foods team recently donated $4,000 to the Humane Society of Hardy County to help with the organization’s local initiatives. Nice work, team Moorefield!

Congratulations to all 158 participants who recently graduated from our Supervisor Development Program. While in this program, participants were trained and given the skills needed in order to make them successful supervisors at their respective facilities. We can’t wait to see all the good things this group will do!

Our Russellville, AL, facility recently visited our Douglas, GA, facility to serve meals to workers affected by Hurricane Helene. What a great way to help out fellow team members, Russellville!

Our Moorefield, WV, Prepared Foods facility recently donated $3,000 to the Moorefield High School archery team. This contribution will allow the archery team to purchase supplies needed for the upcoming season. Great work, Moorefield!

Our Moorefield, WV, facility recently donated $2,250 to the Petersburg Junior High football team for the purchase of 30 guardian caps to enhance player safety. The caps, which provide an added padded layer to reduce impact, are essential as the team works to protect athletes and address concerns about concussions in youth football. Great work, team Moorfield!

Today, we released our 2023 Sustainability Report. Pilgrim’s is striving to set the food industry standard for profitable and sustainable food production as we work to feed the ever-growing global population. A few highlights from our report include: -20% decrease in scope 1 and 2 emission intensity from 2019-2023. -130+ GHG emission reduction projects have been approved. -100% of internal and external audits on animal welfare and transportation passed across Pilgrim’s Europe and Mexico facilities. -24% improvement in the Global Safety Index performance since 2022. Recently, our DeQueen, AR, facility hosted a health fair for team members to receive free health screenings. Snacks and prizes for team members that participated in the event were given out after the screenings were completed. Great work, DeQueen! 

Our Lufkin, TX, and Nacogdoches, TX, facilities recently partnered with A&D Hydraulics to support local youth at the Pineywoods County Fair youth livestock sale. Lufkin and Nacogdoches worked together to purchase the Grand Champion Broiler and several other animals exhibited at the fair. Great work giving back to your communities, Lufkin and Nacogdoches!
