Crowdfunder and the National Benevolent Charity have launched a collaborative campaign called 'Home is where the harm is' to address this domestic abuse head-on. Working alongside Lightning Reach and Cash Perks, they are utilising crowdfunding to provide immediate financial support to victims of domestic abuse. Since the Euros, a domestic violence flashpoint, they have raised over £20,000 through the crowd and distributed it discreetly via 100 micro grants through local ATMs to women in desperate circumstances, making a tangible difference in their lives. Ali Russell from the National Benevolent Society explains how the idea came about and how crowdfunding is helping her charity raise the funds they need.
