We’re proud to be featured in UPMC Enterprises’ 2024 Year in Review, showcasing our progress in transforming perioperative care through innovation and collaboration. Pip Care achieved significant milestones in 2024, closing a $5 million Series A fundraising round led by A1 Health Ventures, with strong support from UPMC Enterprises. This funding comes shortly after receiving a $2.2 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to launch a large-scale trial of our platform across 2,000 patients. Our commitment to optimizing the surgical journey for care teams and patients has been validated by research published in the Journal of Medical Internet Research. A pilot program at the UPMC Center for Perioperative Care highlighted the effectiveness of our unique approach—combining a smartphone app with a real-life health coach—to improve surgical experiences, enhance clinical outcomes, and streamline perioperative care workflows. Founded in 2022 through investment by UPMC Enterprises and Redesign Health, Pip Care is dedicated to scaling perioperative optimization by digitizing and automating processes, ultimately enhancing experiences for both patients and clinicians. We’re excited to continue scaling our solutions, strengthening our partnerships, and advancing the future of surgical care. Pip Care is extremely proud to announce we have been awarded a grant from the The National Institutes of Health (NIH) to expand access and accelerate delivery of digital tools to surgical patients at UPMC. “Increasing access to digital tools such as Pip Care empowers care teams and patients to implement comprehensive perioperative care pathways.
