  • For nearly a decade, Michael Watson has served as Pipeline’s regional sales manager for the southwestern United States. He peeled back the curtain on different ways our customers save by partnering with Pipeline Packaging. “Over specification is a common occurrence, and it creates a lot of added costs for no added benefits,” said Watson. “For example, someone may use a red 1.2 thickness tight head drum but should use a .9 thickness drum. That’s where SKU rationalization can correct these discrepancies for more cost-effective packaging.” https://lnkd.in/gRSrHVM5

  • With more than 30 years in the industry, Pipeline Packaging account manager Jim Zuidema understands the value warehousing services can add to a customer’s operation. He explained one example where a customer not only cut costs, but increased productivity. “Recently, I was working with a company that primarily uses totes and drums and was looking for a more cost-effective approach to packaging,” said Zuidema. “With a custom inventory management system, the customer’s warehouse regained about 25% of its space, which ultimately allowed it to double its productivity.” https://lnkd.in/gRSrHVM5

  • Account manager Randy Allison joined the Pipeline Packaging team in January 2020. He explains how reconditioned drums are playing an important role in natural-disaster relief and the environmental industry. “Reconditioned drums are a staple solution in the environmental sphere,” said Allison. “They are particularly popular for natural disaster and environmental cleanups. In some cases, customers will even use them for hazardous waste cleanups, and once the job is done, they’ll immediately incinerate the materials with the container.” https://lnkd.in/gJBggBWs

  • An account manager at Pipeline Packaging since 1994, Bo Patterson specializes in helping customers navigate questions about their packaging. He shared how some customers implement creative strategies when using reconditioned drums. “We have customers in the food and beverage industry who will use reconditioned drums to transport fruit and tomato juices to their processing plants,” said Patterson. “After processing, the finished juices are stored in brand new drums to maintain a clean product for consumers.” https://lnkd.in/gJBggBWs
