With the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix finale set to get underway in the next couple of hours, let's talk about Valtteri Bottas and the high-flying Pierre Gasly.
The Finnish driver is competing in what appears to be his last F1 race and put on a spectacular show to take his Kick Sauber C44 to start from ninth in the race.
After Zhou finally scored points last time out, Bottas remained the only active driver without points, just a place above Logan Sargeant who was dropped mid-season.
After taking his second Q3 appearance of the year, he is determined to finish the season with points.
Alpine's Pierre Gasly is also determined to make the best of his high start which puts him in fifth, between Max Verstappen and George Russell.
The Frenchman is also eager to finish the season on a positive note like Bottas and backs his team to outsmart their nearest competitor, Haas, for the race.
In my 30th and 31st Pit Debrief articles you'll have more news on:
- Bottas' reaction on making it to Q3
- Gasly's take on starting from P5 for the race
- Bottas' opinion on the Russell–Verstappen fallout
- Gasly's reaction to his teammate qualifying from the back
Trust me, these are the Pit Debrief articles you don't want to miss!
