Citing “overwhelming demand,” Chris Stapleton has expanded the routing on his “All-American Road Show” tour with nine more shows. The additional dates include second nights at New York’s Madison Square Garden Arena and Denver’s Ball Arena.   He’s also playing second nights at Charlottesville, Virginia’s John Paul Jones Arena; Grand Rapids, Michigan’s Van Andel Arena; Tinley Park, Illinois’ Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre; Noblesville, Indiana’s Ruoff Music Center; Phoenix, Arizona’s Desert Diamond Arena; Salt Lake City’s Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre and Hollywood, Florida’s Hard Rock Live.   A presale for the new shows starts Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 10 a.m. local time, followed by the general onsale on Friday, Jan. 24 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets for the previously announced dates went on sale today.   To read full article click link here: https://lnkd.in/enW9Pxvz #Pollstar #ChrisStapleton  

Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) wrapped another hugely ambitious winter tour generating approximately $900,000 in charitable donations bringing the band’s total giving to more than $20 million since the first tour in 1999.   “The Lost Christmas Eve” tour was the final chapter in the band’s Christmas Trilogy with more than 100 shows spanning 36 days between Nov. 13 and December 30. A large portion of this year’s fundraising came from a partnership with Jay Lucarelli, president and CEO of Minutemen Family of Companies and Barney Monk Event Staffing. Lucarelli and his companies donated $50,000 to Vet Tix, a non-profit organization that provides free event tickets to veterans and their families. j-hope is making his way back to North America this year. The South Korean rapper, music producer, dancer and member of mega-popular boy band BTS announced “Hope On The Stage,” a solo tour that includes dates in Brooklyn, Chicago, Mexico City and Los Angeles.   The 12-date Live Nation-promoted tour kicks off on March 13 with two consecutive nights at Barclays Arena in Brooklyn, New York, followed by two shows at Chicago’s Allstate Arena. j-hope will then make his way to Mexico City’s Palacio De Los Deportes, Frost Bank Center in San Antonio and Oakland Arena in Northern California before wrapping up with two nights (April 4 and 6) at LA’s BMO Stadium.   To read full article click link here: https://lnkd.in/eXBJCy7X #Pollstar #jHope

Kenny Chesney is making history as the first country music artist to headline Sphere, the singer announcing a residency at the renowned venue starting in May. He’ll be performing 12 dates at the venue from May 22 to June 14.   Chesney revealed he agreed to play at the venue – which has already hosted performances from U2, Dead & Company, Eagles, Phish and Afterlife Presents: Anyma – without yet stepping foot in Sphere. Governor’s Ball is returning to Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York, from June 6 to 8, and this year’s festival is topped by Tyler, the Creator, Olivia Rodrigo and Hozier. This year marks 15 years of the music festival, and its third occurrence in Flushing Meadows Corona Park.   This year’s lineup also includes performances from Benson Boone, Feid, Glass Animals, Conan Gray, Mt. Joy, Mk.Gee, Clairo, The Backseat Lovers, Young Miko and more. The three-day festival is set to feature performances from more than 60 bands across its three stages. Metallica has announced that its non-profit, philanthropic organization All Within My Hands is granting $500,000 to help Los Angeles fire relief efforts, which will be carried out by the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund and the Pasadena Community Foundation’s Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund.   An announcement sent out from Metallica’s PR team comments on the destruction the fires in the Los Angeles area have caused, noting: “In the past week, the community has suffered at least 24 lives lost, nearly 100,000 people under evacuation orders, 40,000 acres burned, and more than 12,000 structures—commercial and residential—destroyed. However, numbers cannot articulate the magnitude of anguish as the disaster upends families and dismantles livelihoods.” The announcement points out that the catastrophe is ongoing, as “despite containment progress over the weekend, officials warn residents to stay vigilant as the Santa Ana winds return and are expected to reach up to 70 MPH over the coming days, creating critical fire conditions.”   To read full article click link here: https://lnkd.in/es6694ZU #Pollstar #Metallica

With thousands of firefighters still battling two large fires in Los Angeles County, this week The Weeknd announced the cancellation of his one-night-only show at Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, as well as the postponement of his latest studio album, Hurry Up Tomorrow.   The Live Nation-promoted concert scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 25, was produced to celebrate the release of his sixth LP and first in three years. Beyoncé and Fuerza Regida are among those helping individuals affected by the fires that spread throughout Los Angeles last week, with Beyoncé’s BeyGood Foundation donating $2.5 million to the L.A. Fire Relief Fund to assist families and Fuerza Regida renting out an entire hotel to host families who have lost their homes.   Several blazes, including the Palisades, Eaton, Hurst and Lidia fires, saw the evacuation of at least 180,000 people having to be evacuated in the wake of the fires. Many lost their homes and more than 12,000 structures were destroyed, with damages still being accounted for.
