The Illinois Power of Attorney Act, enacted in January, defines 5 reasonable and 14 unreasonable causes for a power of attorney to be rejected. The Act puts some clarity around an important subject. But the new law can also be frustrating: It provides more reasons for a POA to be rejected. Prather Ebner Wilson can help if a bank or another party is refusing to accept your POA. We connect you with an attorney’s certification of validity and agent’s certification — documents that prove your POA is valid. Visit pewlaw.com/contact to reach out to our team.
