It was honor to join the panel discussion, Breaking Down Barriers: Fostering Innovation in Healthcare, hosted by BrightEdge - American Cancer Society #ConvergeOnCancer Summit. Our conversation centered around the unique challenges faced by healthcare startups and explored practical strategies to support entrepreneurs in driving impactful innovation. According to our poll, financial constraints emerged as the greatest barrier to advancing cancer innovation, followed by regulatory hurdles, operational challenges, market demand limitations, and a lack of collaboration across stakeholders. To overcome these obstacles, we emphasized the importance for early-stage companies to surround themselves with advisors who have firsthand experience in bringing products to market. Building close, strategic relationships with investors and aligning with those who share a long-term belief in the product’s potential are also key factors in paving the way for success. Farnaz B.
