Today, Advancing Photonics Technologies is delighted to welcome Spencer Reynolds to our APT community! 💡⚡️ Spencer is a familiar face at Princeton University. As we continue to ramp up partner outreach and collaborations, he will be lending Team APT his wisdom and insights from his experience connecting campus partners with external collaborators in the public and private sectors. Most recently, he was the New Jersey Regional Engagement Principal for the United States Department of Defense NSIN - National Security Innovation Network, before which he was Senior Associate Director for Corporate Engagement at Princeton. Prior to Princeton, Spencer organized technology collaborations in the chemical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing industries. He served twenty years as an officer in the US Army and Army National Guard. He holds an AB from Princeton and an MBA from Yale. This week, Advancing Photonics Technologies was thrilled to visit David McGee’s lab at The College of New Jersey and Al Cheswick, Tyler Simays, and their team at KrellTech. Thank you to NJMEP’s Robert Mazzuca for joining us at TCNJ! The conversations we had were intentional and inspirational. Topics included starting a startup, cybersecurity, the founder’s journey, raising capital, and more (and also climbing mountains, riding motorcycles, songwriting, and surfing!) and illuminated tangible needs and opportunities for use-inspired research, workforce development, and tech translation.
