🎉 Congratulations to the EMEA MDP Class of 2024! 🎓 Earlier this week, 19 talented colleagues from across Europe and META celebrated their graduation from the Manager Development Program (MDP) in Istanbul. This milestone represents the successful conclusion of an exciting journey that began in June with a kickoff event in Antwerp. Over the months, participants developed their leadership skills, tackled challenges, and shared innovative solutions while building lasting connections. 💡 During this final week, they presented their Trusting Teams Projects to Senior Leadership and their GDP Mentors -attending both in person and virtually- showcasing their creativity, hard work, and strategic insights. Beyond the presentations, the group bonded, played, and strengthened their connections, embodying the spirit of collaboration and teamwork. 🫶 Here’s to the MDP EMEA Class of 2024 - an incredible achievement and a bright future ahead! 🌟

✅ A COP29 Thursday Throwback! 🌱 Last week, PSA BDP's Margaret (Peggy) Murphy, Ph.D. Global VP of Sustainability, led a panel discussion at COP29 entitled "Harnessing the Power of Data to Enable Sustainable and Resilient Supply Chains." During the session, Sophie Punte, Founder of the Smart Freight Centre and LifeLinks, and Jan-Christoph Napierski, Head of Public Affairs at the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping, provided insights into the role of data visibility and standardized data practices in enhancing the effectiveness of sustainability strategies. 🌐 Earlier in the session, Peggy also announced PSA BDP's formal commitment to the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi), noting, "At PSA BDP, we are fully committed to leading the supply chain industry towards a low-carbon future and are working proactively to reduce emissions across key areas. Big things are happening at COP29! 🌱 Today, Margaret (Peggy) Murphy, Ph.D., Global VP of Sustainability took part in a panel discussion with other industry leaders on empowering companies to decarbonize their supply chains and also introduced the new 'book and claim' registry, 'Katalist'. Katalist allows cargo owners to access low-emission transport and helps shipping companies recover their investments in decarbonization technologies. It was developed by The Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping and RMI in collaboration with 29 organizations across the value chain. The registry enables freight customers to receive transparent information about the savings they’ve obtained in a consistent, auditable format across multiple carriers. Katalist also sets strict criteria, ensuring every token booked on the registry corresponds to low-emission fuels used during a voyage. 💚 Stay tuned for more news from this exciting space!
