She will join education leaders from across the nation to explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in education. This gathering represents a crucial step forward in understanding how AI can enhance teaching and learning in our schools. We're excited to share the successful launch of the Youth Mental Health First Aid certification program in the Peninsula School District. This initiative gathered 20 dedicated participants at Key Peninsula Middle School last night, Nov. 19, focusing on essential skills to support youth mental health. Becky Maffei, PSD Lead Counselor, highlighted the need for trusted adults in our youth's lives, especially as mental health challenges rise. The partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington has also made this training accessible, providing engaging activities for children during sessions. Due to the overwhelming interest, we are pleased to announce additional training opportunities in January 2025. These sessions are open to school district staff, parents, and community members interested in supporting youth mental health. Stay connected for more information on registration.
