“For high-achieving, low-income students who are considering applying to QuestBridge, I would tell them financial hardship should not be a barrier in learning. Life is about challenging yourself, and the more you challenge yourself, the easier life becomes. One thing QuestBridge has taught me is that giving up is never an option toward success. QuestBridge provides the opportunity for low-income students like myself to obtain a higher education that we dream about. Therefore, no matter what comes in life, never give up but TRY!” - Tyleena C., Bronx, NY, Haverford College ‘27 #matchmonday #dreambig #nationalcollegematch #collegebound #questbridge #college #topcollege #awards #scholarships #fullrides #topuniversities #highachieving #lowincome

Like many QuestBridge Scholars, John-Peter became part of the QuestBridge Scholars Network (QSN) through QuestBridge Regular Decision. "Before QuestBridge I was not even planning to apply to Stanford because I thought it would be a waste of time and that I would definitely get rejected. However, after becoming a Finalist, there was a new wave of confidence I received when I realized that I could actually have a shot. Now the rest is history. ... This has impacted my family greatly as I will be the first to go to an American four-year college and Stanford University at that. This has not only gone on to inspire my siblings but also friends and other people near me because if I can do it, they can too." - John-Peter N., Decatur, GA, Stanford University '28 #dreambig #collegebound #questbridge #college #topcollege #awards #scholarships #topuniversities #highachieving #lowincome

“QuestBridge changed my perspective by showing me that I had a chance at being admitted to schools that I never thought I would have the chance of getting into. … The Match Scholarship will allow me to experience the communities outside of the ones in my own state and see the world and the greater issues that I can work towards helping.” - Joaquin C., Española, NM, University of Notre Dame ‘28 #matchmonday #dreambig #nationalcollegematch #collegebound #questbridge #college #topcollege #awards #scholarships #fullrides #topuniversities #highachieving #lowincome

Qiyaamah was admitted to a top college as a Finalist through QuestBridge Regular Decision, an opportunity to apply to any of our college partners with no application fees. "Attending Hamilton is a true blessing for my family. QuestBridge has allowed me to go to college, relieving my family from the worry of how we will afford it. My mother has always been my biggest influence, encouraging me to aim high. ... The experience of realizing that I have people who believe in me and my future endeavors, and who have invested their money in me, feels unreal. It is a relief to know that I will be debt-free with my bachelor's degree." - Qiyaamah B., Pottstown, PA, Hamilton College '28

We're excited for our upcoming Match Day on December 2! However, keep in mind that Finalists who do not match can still continue their path to a top college by filling out the QuestBridge Regular Decision Form, due December 9. "Not getting matched was not the news I hoped to hear. While I was obviously heartbroken, I knew that my QuestBridge journey wasn’t going to end there. I worked through the month of December for QuestBridge Regular Decision. ... My QuestBridge experience has been filled with ups and downs, but I am so extremely grateful to be a QuestBridge Scholar at Penn.
