Last week, we celebrated another milestone in our longstanding commitment to the fight against cancer – opening the Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Prevention at the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Center is now proudly serving the Los Angeles community, focused on increasing access to high-quality cancer care and addressing disparities in risk and outcomes for cancers of the cervix, breast, colon and lung. This is the third named Ralph Lauren center, and first on the West Coast, supported by The Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation’s $25 million commitment to expand or establish five cancer centers in underserved communities across the United States. Today, Pink Pony, our worldwide initiative in the fight against cancer, supports programs for research, screenings, early diagnosis, treatment, education and patient navigation. Our 2024 Pink Pony campaign, “Live Well. Be Well.” is rooted in the idea that when we each take steps – no matter how small – to take care of ourselves and our loved ones, we can contribute to a life well-lived. The campaign film features six survivors – college lacrosse player Chad Palumbo, author and basketball player Ronnie Laughlin, U.S. boxer Daniel Jacobs, model and rock climber Ash Foo, yoga teacher Mary Lou Burkhardt, and skateboarder Cade Thompson – who each share their personal experiences with cancer and how mental and physical wellness helped them in their cancer journey, from diagnosis and treatment to recovery.
