Let’s celebrate National Hispanic American Heritage Month! This is a month-long celebration of Hispanic and Latino history, culture, and communities. While we always celebrate these communities, we give extra recognition to the tremendous impact they’ve had for generations to the history and culture of the United States, including important advocacy work, vibrant art, popular and traditional foods, and much more. The timeframe of the month is historically significant because many Central and South American countries celebrate their independence days within these dates.

"I have a firm belief in the ability and power of women to achieve the things they want to achieve." - Eleanor Roosevelt Today, we celebrate Women’s Equality Day! This is a day that commemorates the 1920 adoption of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution, which granted women the right to vote. It was first celebrated in 1971, officially recognized by Congress in 1973.
