November is National Diabetes Awareness Month. Diabetes is a chronic (long-lasting) health condition that causes blood sugar levels to rise far above what’s healthy. This disease affects millions of Americans, but with medical testing and healthy lifestyle choices, it’s very preventable! Symptoms and Prevention : Certain symptoms can indicate diabetes or prediabetes. You should talk to your primary care provider immediately if you are experiencing: Unusual hunger or fatigue Blurry vision Tingling in the hands and feet Slow-healing sores, and/or Increased urination (especially at night)

🔍 𝗗𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄? Over 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 occur globally each year due to diabetes-related complications. Diabetes, particularly when poorly managed, can lead to serious health issues like 𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (peripheral artery disease) and #𝗡𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 (diabetic neuropathy). These complications can cause foot ulcers and #infections, which, if untreated, often result in amputation. This staggering number highlights the critical importance of: 1. 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 2.
