Hospitals and Health Care

Scalable dialysis solutions for every treatment setting.

About us

We can proudly boast 30 years of experience adapting to highly restrictive treatment settings, providing consistent and reliable solutions that improve patient outcomes and eliminate operational and service quality woes. We have set the bar for what the best corrections-based dialysis programs look like. Now we are driving the adoption of innovative dialysis programs in other challenging healthcare settings like hospitals and post-acute care facilities. That makes Rendevor Dialysis the only B2B provider offering scalable dialysis solutions in every treatment setting! Overcoming complex dialysis challenges isn’t just something we do — it’s why we exist. Rendevor Firsts include: (1994) First California prison to optimize corrections dialysis through an on-site dialysis program administered by founder, Donna Combs-Williamson. (2019) First hospital to optimize insourced dialysis program through the launch of Collaborative Care hybrid staffing model. (2024) First dialysis provider to offer scalable, on-site dialysis solutions for any hospital, corrections or post-acute facility that wants or needs this critical service for their patients. Established in California in 1994 by dialysis nurse Donna Combs-Williamson, the company recognized an urgent need to offer on-site care to patients within the correctional system. Their efficient and effective mode of dialysis treatment delivery swiftly earned the trust of federal, state, and local corrections agencies nationwide. Today Rendevor Dialysis is the largest provider of correctional dialysis in the United States. In 2016, Donna’s son, Jason Combs, joined the team and ultimately took over as CEO in 2020. In the years since, Rendevor has repositioned itself as a full-spectrum on-site dialysis provider, bringing its expertise of operating thriving dialysis partnerships in the most challenging clinical settings to the hospital and post acute industries.

Rendevor Dialysis is proud to announce that we just secured a contract with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation/California Correctional Health Care Services (CDCR/CCHCS) to provide on-site dialysis for all of their patients across the state. CCHCS provides medical, dental, and mental health services to correctional institutions statewide. “We made a strategic decision to return to the California market where we were founded over 30 years ago,” said Jason Combs, Rendevor CEO. “This is very fitting because we helped the CDCR/CCHCS grow through the expansion of their dialysis program to multiple facilities in the mid 1990’s, and since then we have honed our expertise in over 20 state departments of corrections. Being awarded this contract will allow Rendevor to go back to its roots while bringing decades of experience and best practices to the place where it all began.” Rendevor will initiate services in the first quarter of 2025 in multiple large facilities geographically spanning from just north of San Francisco to just south of San Diego. https://lnkd.in/d38_9fNb #Dialysis #RenalCare

  • After emigrating to the U.S. and earning his nursing degree, 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧 𝐎𝐮𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐧 knows how fortunate he is. Now he’s using that good fortune to help organize medical aid shipments to his hometown of Tepi, Ethiopia. “There were only three general practitioners, one internist, and one surgeon,” Ousman said of the hospital in his hometown. “The other thing is the ratio of patients to nurses. Here, it might be one nurse to five or six patients. There it might be one nurse to 20 or 25 patients.” Ousman was awarded a visa in 2013 and emigrated to the U.S. Since then, he’s earned associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in nursing, became a nurse in 2016 and began working with Rendevor in 2023. He’s also collaborating with a team of medical professionals to organize aid shipments to Ethiopia. “I had a family member who is on dialysis. So, I always wanted to be a dialysis nurse when I was back home and when I was in nursing school,” Ousman said. When Ousman learned about Rendevor’s Equipment Retirement Program, which replaces equipment that has exceeded its useful life due to age or technological changes, he saw a golden opportunity to repurpose that equipment for people in need in his hometown. In collaboration with Rendevor to donate and ship the equipment to Ethiopia, Ousman is spearheading change to improve healthcare conditions in his hometown. You can read more about Ousman’s dedication in the latest issue of the Rendevor Review. 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐟𝐭: One of the shipments that Ousman helped organize is unpacked and organized in Tepi, Ethiopia. • Last week’s open house of Rendevor’s new post-acute, on-site dialysis den located at the Villages of Lake Highlands | Dallas Senior Living drew a mix of professionals from the Dallas-Fort Worth medical community. Case workers, nephrologists, and other healthcare leaders representing organizations, such as Baylor University Medical Center, Texas Health Resources, 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 and Dallas Nephrology Associates, stopped by to share some holiday cheer and tour the six-station dialysis den. They learned how this program will soon benefit the DFW medical community and positively impact patients, hospital case management teams, payors, and many others in the care continuum. Villages of Lake Highlands CEO Kelly Wolfe and Rendevor Dialysis CEO Jason Combs, along with members of both organizations’ leadership teams, welcomed guests and discussed how this partnership will advance patient-centered dialysis care. Led by Stacy Vice, VP of Clinical Quality and Compliance, we’ve built a department—and a culture—from the ground up. Stacy’s remarkable journey over two decades, from a hands-on nurse to a cornerstone of Rendevor’s leadership team, embodies our commitment to patient safety and care. Her influence spans every corner of the company, from growing our team from 40 to 400, to ensuring every clinician operates with excellence. Stacy’s vision is fulfilled by a highly skilled and dedicated team she assembled to develop evidence-based policies and procedures, conduct rigorous audits, provide vital training, and drive continuous improvement. Rendevor Dialysis’ revolutionary shared-staffing 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 model allows you to run an on-site dialysis program without the need for significant capital investment or hiring additional staff, all while cutting operating costs 15-20%. Our hybrid model eliminates the most costly and unrecovered cost of any outsourced dialysis program - 24/7 on-call labor coverage - and replaces it with 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳. What’s more, we’ll also simplify the transition from your current outsourced or insourced program, making the switch smooth and stress-free. Or we can help initiate an in-house program. 1. If you’re not ready for Collaborative Care, we can seamlessly function as your turnkey provider, taking over equipment, supplies, biomedical coverage, quality management, policies and training. 2. On your timeline, we can shift to our Collaborative Care model or fully train and wean your teams to self-sufficiently run a program. 3. In each scenario, we’ll customize an on-site program making the transition simpler, with less demand on hospital leadership and clinical teams. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 is what a 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘦 dialysis partnership looks like.
