Did you know that our four founders are former students and researchers from three different RWTH institutes, namely Aachener Verfahrenstechnik (RWTH Aachen University), ITA Institut für Textiltechnik der RWTH Aachen University and Innovation und Entrepreneurship (WIN)? 👩🔬 Having won the RWTH Spin-off Award, we are delighted to be able to officially call ourselves an RWTH Aachen spin-off. ✨ The Spin-off Award is the only official award for outstanding spin-offs of RWTH Aachen University. It was presented to us at the Aachen start-up event ATEC | Aachen Technology and Entrepreneurship Congress, where we had many exciting discussions with investors and other founders. RWTH Innovation
re.solution
Chemical Manufacturing
Recovering circular and affordable raw materials from polyester-containing textiles
About us
re.solution offers a chemical recycling technology for polyester-containing textiles that is characterized by a low chemical and water footprint. The process runs on renewable energy and is designed to recycle fibre blends and handle impurities that are common in textiles. Providing sustainable alternatives particularly to virgin plastic, we divert valuable resources from landfills and incineration. As we forge ahead, we cordially invite investors, partners, and eco-conscious people to join us in our mission to make a tangible impact on plastic waste reduction and to contribute to a more sustainable and circular future of textiles.

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to pitch re.solution at the DN POWER UP x Revier Pitch – what a great event. And even better, our pitch won the first prize. 😍🙌♻ With our innovative textile recycling technology, we can recover the chemical building blocks from textile waste – regionally. Circular solutions increase the supply chain resilience and strengthen our regional industry. It was great to discuss those opportunities with regional companies and the wider community after our pitch. A heartfelt thank you to the organizers, especially Tatjana Pradzynski, and sponsors for hosting such a fantastic event.
Juni 2024! ⚡Dr.-Ing. Very exciting news: We won the ACHEMA 2024 startup award 📣 👏 ♻ Out of the top 10 finalists, our business plan and startup pitch were selected by an expert jury. This is a further motivation to solve one of the most pressing global sustainability issues: the incineration and landfilling of textile waste due to a lack of scalable recycling alternatives. Our chemical recycling process addresses the millions of tons of fossil-based polyester textiles that are produced and wasted every year. The water-based solution enables an economic recovery of the resources from mixed fiber textiles - at a low chemical, water and carbon footprint. As a young startup, we are grateful for the support from ACHEMA 2024, DECHEMA, and our amazing team. Walking across the startup area at ACHEMA, it was truly inspiring to see our fellow entrepreneurs contributing to a better tomorrow.
