  • 🌍 A First-of-its-Kind Report, the #Transformative Change Assessment Report Addresses the Disconnection Between People and Nature. This groundbreaking report sheds light on the underlying causes of biodiversity loss, including the growing disconnection between people and nature, persistent inequalities, and the prioritisation of short-term gains over long-term sustainability. RESPIN is thrilled to move beyond the conversation and connect the IPBES Report and its knowledge holders with implementing actors. Together, we aim to bridge the gaps and drive meaningful change for biodiversity, climate, and the communities that depend on them. Stay tuned for more highlights of the #IPBES11! #TransformativeChange #NexusAssessment #ForNature

🚨 OUT NOW 🚨   📚 The IPBES #TransformativeChange Assessment Summary for Policymakers is here!   ➡️ Dive into the extensive exploration of how fundamental change can halt biodiversity loss and secure just and sustainable futures for all. https://lnkd.in/dab8yugv

  • Huge milestone for #IPBES11! Delegates successfully approved the Summaries for Policymakers (SPMs) of two groundbreaking assessments: ✅ The Nexus Assessment, emphasising the critical interconnections between biodiversity, climate, water, food, and health. ✅ The Transformative Change Assessment, addressing the systems and pathways needed to drive sustainable change. From RESPIN's perspective, these approvals reflect the growing importance of a strong science-policy interface—where knowledge meets decision-making. Strengthening links between platforms like IPBES and IPCC and fostering dialogue between policymakers and knowledge holders, remains essential to address biodiversity and climate challenges effectively. A heartfelt thank you to the IPBES experts and authors for their contributions and efforts in making these reports a reality! This is a step forward in bridging science, policy, and action for a better future. We eagerly await the release of the landmark reports!
