✨ Meet Lexi: Proof that mentorship changes lives! ✨ When Lexi joined Right Moves For Youth, college wasn’t even on her radar. No one in her family had ever gone. But through the power of connection, mentorship, and guidance, everything changed. We walked with her every step of the way—college applications, FAFSA, grants—you name it. Fast forward to 2019: Lexi graduated from UNCC with a degree in computer science, completed the Wells Fargo Associate Program, and is now thriving in a full-time role at Wells Fargo. But that’s not all. Lexi’s courage to dream big and break barriers has inspired her family. Her younger sister is now at NC A&T, and her mom is pursuing a degree in nursing! 🖤 This is what breaking generational cycles looks like. And it all started with mentorship. Help us create more stories like Lexi’s. 💡 👉 Click here https://buff.ly/3uBKMtb to donate today. Thank you to WCNC Charlotte and Myles Harris for covering our Annual Bike Build. For 16 years, the Spokes Group has donated bicycles to our deserving students. Also, for that same 16 years, City of Charlotte employees have banded together to assemble those bikes for us. This annual event is a testimony to the impact of relationships. Thank you to everyone involved! https://lnkd.in/eU_uxgK2

Last week, our students explored the essence of teamwork and what it takes to be a great teammate! Through the Helium Challenge, they learned that collaboration is key to achieving goals. With everyone’s fingers on the tape, they communicated, demonstrated leadership, and practiced essential skills while working together to lift the tape back up. This hands-on activity beautifully tied into our Right Moves for Youth pillars of SEL and Civic Leadership Duty. Here’s to building strong teams and bright futures! #Teamwork #Leadership #RightMovesForYouth #ATALLTIMES

| Coffee with the Executive Director: Vol. 2 | Our ED, Ryan Grammatico was joined by Deputy Director of Leading on Opportunity Dr. Virginia Covill to discuss, in a group context with donors and stakeholders, about the power of our group mentoring approach and it’s impact on economic mobility. We’re thankful for the work of Leading On Opportunity and how it has been a beacon of hope in helping our community move forward in positive ways. Here’s to an even more promising future for all! #AtAllTimesRMFY
