Borrelli has been appointed Firm Co-Chair, to serve alongside current Co-Chair Kelly Crawford. A.J., who has been a member of Riker Danzig’s Executive Committee since 2021, succeeds Brian O'Donnell, who has stepped down after sharing the Co-Chair role with Kelly since 2018. In addition, Joseph Schwartz has joined the Firm’s Executive Committee. The Firm has also expanded the roles of current leaders in some of its key administrative areas: Former Acting Director of Information Technology Mohamed Brahim has been named Director of Information Technology. Former Director of Practice Development Richelle Delavan has been named Chief Marketing Officer. Riker Danzig achieved a victory in the Third Circuit Court of Appeals on December 23, 2024, for client Township of Montclair (“Montclair”), in a novel case regarding Montclair’s Ordinance banning the use of gas-powered leaf blowers, among other things, in Montclair. Riker Danzig Bankruptcy & Corporate Restructuring counsel Daniel Bloom authored “Key Considerations for Attorneys Representing Landlords Dealing with a Commercial Tenant's Bankruptcy” which was published in the January 2025 American Bankruptcy Institute Journal. The article provides an overview of many issues that commercial landlords face when a tenant files for bankruptcy, including the automatic stay, assumption and rejection of leases, pre-and post-petition rent claims, real estate taxes, and exceptions to certain rules, among other considerations that Dan addresses. As one of the New Jersey Law Journal’s 2024 “Women Attorneys of the Year” honorees, Insurance Partner Tracey Kohl Wishert is featured in a Q&A titled “I Aim to Make a Positive Change in Everyday Interactions, Tracey Wishert Says,” published by the Law Journal on December 19, 2024.
