North Carolina is a great state for business, but it's also a hungry one for children. One in five kids in NC goes hungry every day. In rural areas, it's one in three. That's why we're partnering with our client at School Meals For All NC to encourage businesses to get behind their mission of ensuring every student at NC public schools gets breakfast and lunch at no cost to their families. Let’s work together to make sure no child goes hungry! Join us in encouraging local businesses to get involved and help create a brighter future for our kids and our state. #NoChildHungryNC #SchoolMealsForAllNC #SupportOurStudents

We are thrilled to share that the Care4Carolina campaign to expand Medicaid coverage in North Carolina, supported by RLF Communications and GBW Strategies, has been shortlisted for Public Affairs Campaign of the Year by Ragan Communication’s prestigious PR Daily Awards. RLF and GBW Strategies (the agency that RLF acquired in early 2024) are proud to have been a partner with Care4Carolina in this multipronged campaign that included messaging, storytelling, events and media relations.

RLF's Chief Strategy Officer Billy Warden’s column in Raleigh Magazine assesses what made an unlikely music festival such a smash hit in NC’s capital city over an epic ten-year run that’s now coming to a grand finale. For audience engagement, nothing succeeds quite like ‘approachability’ – with an able assist from viral videos.

RLF had a great time co-hosting the Triad get-together of the North Carolina Chapter, Public Relations Society of America (NCPRSA) at the Greensboro Grasshoppers game earlier this month! Michelle Rash, Vice President & COO, and Lucy Dunham, Senior Communications Manager, enjoyed meeting PR professionals from the Triad and Triangle and supporting the Grasshoppers at their hometown win!

RLF Communications was proud to sponsor and serve as the agency of record for the 10th annual North Carolina Folk Festival, held earlier this month in downtown Greensboro. With 3 days of music, art and performances at 4 stages across downtown Greensboro, our team enjoyed working with all the dedicated people who make the Folk Festival so great!

We spent Tuesday morning in Chapel Hill coordinating the groundbreaking of South Creek, a 120-acre, mixed-use community slated to include an 80-acre nature preserve. With The Beechwood Organization’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer Mike Dubb and President and Principal Steven Dubb in attendance, along with Mayor Jess Anderson, members of the town council, the media and an array of community members, this event marked the beginning of an exciting project.

It’s almost time for the 10th annual North Carolina Folk Festival, happening this weekend! As the public relations agency of record for the NC Folk Festival, we’ve had a great time spreading the word about this fun, free event in downtown Greensboro. Festival headliners Los Lonely Boys and The War & Treaty will be joined by over 45 other artists and groups, including NC native and The Voice alum Tae Lewis and fan favorite Mipso, for a fantastic three days of music and celebration. We’ll see you there – no tickets required!
