We are seeking an experienced “PRODUCTION MANAGER” with a strong background in Manual Assembly / Artisanal Processes. This is a unique opportunity for professionals in the manual assembly manufacturing industry, such as Production Managers, Business Unit Managers (BUM), Value Stream Managers (VSM), Operations Managers, and Jr. Plant Managers. As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire manufacturing operation at a growing site in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, Mexico. You will manage a team of over 600 employees and lead all aspects of manufacturing processes and policies to achieve company goals. Key Responsibilities: 1. Oversee and manage the complete Production Department, ensuring efficient and effective operations. 2. Lead and implement all aspects of manufacturing processes, focusing on quality, productivity, and cost control. 3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and Lean Six Sigma principles. 4. Maintain a hands-on approach to managing manual assembly processes and labor-intensive control metrics. 5. Effectively communicate with both corporate and local teams to align on goals and strategies. 6. Coach, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Requirements: 1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Production Manager, Value Stream Manager (VSM), or Business Unit Manager (BUM) in a small to medium-sized facility (400-900 employees). 2. Strong hands-on experience with Manual Assembly processes and labor-intensive manufacturing environments. 3. Proven experience in High Mix / Low & High Volume / Fast-Paced / Manual manufacturing settings. 4. Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing 5S and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. 5. Bilingual in English and Spanish. 6. Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with both corporate and local stakeholders. 7. Strong leadership qualities: a good coach, team player, proactive, technically competent, results-oriented, with strong change management, critical thinking, and people management skills. 8.
