About us

Every year $11.4B of recoverable material is sent to landfill. rStream’s solution addresses the first step of material recovery, to ensure the correct on-site disposal method is used (trash, recycling, compost). We allow waste companies to capitalize on the scrap value of materials and implement circular systems. igoodine@rstreamrecycling.com

Our End-of-Year Celebration at Greentown Boston last night was the perfect celebration of all of our members' hard work this year 💫 Complete with an ugly sweater contest, dessert potluck, cookie decorating, candy-jar guess competition, photo booth, and more, this event truly embodied the magic of the Greentown community! Thank you to everyone who came and brought their friends and families to join in on the fun, and congratulations to the winners of this year's community awards: 🏆 The Community Champion Award celebrates a Greentown Labs member who exemplifies our CORE values—Collaboration, Optimism, Respect, and Engagement. This award highlights individuals or teams who have made significant contributions to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and innovative community while advancing the mission of climatetech innovation. Congratulations to the rStream team for winning! 🥽 The Safety Star Award recognizes a Greentown Labs member who demonstrates an outstanding commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and sustainable environment for the community. This award celebrates proactive efforts in upholding safety standards and fostering a culture of care and accountability. Congratulations to Steven H. from Matterworks for winning! Shout out to Laurent MEUNIER for winning the candy cane jar guessing competition and to Joe Getsy for winning the ugly sweater contest! This year, we also had a first-of-its-kind performance from a Greentown band consisting of David Thompson, Joe Getsy, and Steven H., complete with a sing-along to the 12 Days of Greentown. Lastly, we're grateful to the families, friends, and loved ones of our members for supporting these founders outside of the office and labs. Running a climatetech startup isn't easy, and these support systems help our community keep pushing toward the next milestone. 💚 Here's to a great few last weeks of 2024 and even more climate action in the New Year!

  • Last week Ian and Ethan introduced rStream's mission to the Activate-Boston network during the annual Meet the Cohort Event. Alongside was a great moment with Galen Nelson from the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center discussing their role and vision for the Commonwealth's climate goals. As always, it was great to connect with new and old faces, sharing rStream’s mission and what’s to come. Stay tuned for more updates as those things come to life!

This week, rStream's founders Ian Goodine and Ethan Walko met with Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey and Lieutenant Governor Kim Driscoll! We were able to connect on the state's ambitious initiatives in both #climate and #robotics, and rStream's pivotal role in empowering materials management companies and their clients to optimize the capture of materials for #manufacturing through a circular economy. It was an honor to represent the MassRobotics Accelerator cohort and Massachusetts Technology Collaborative.
