2025 will be another year of overcoming challenges and redefining limits against a backdrop of high U.S. equity market valuations, mega-cap dominance, and the uncertainty surrounding the policy agenda of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump. Our focus is on building resilient portfolios that can adapt to a wide range of scenarios. Chief Investment Strategist Paul Eitelman shares how we’re positioning our portfolios for success in the year ahead.

Watch Chris Adolph explain why it’s been a busy year in transition management for Russell Investments. What caused this upswing? Some of the reasons were regional: rotations in Asia to structural shifts in North America, and ESG-driven changes in EMEA. But the timing for TM is unique for every client. We get that. And we're here to support your portfolio transitions.

🤖 What tasks can AI automate for investment managers? 🤖 The list of repetitive tasks in the investing world that AI can help with—which are still mostly being done by humans—is expansive. It includes: 🔷 Generation of investment reports 🔷 Automation of compliance and control-related tasks 🔷 Assistance with email and communication management Generative AI in particular can be extremely valuable in helping identify themes and emerging trends in investing by scraping information from earnings reports, calls, and news articles. It can combine structured data, like financial fundamentals, with unstructured data, like news articles or social media, to give a much fuller picture. This ability to pull together various data streams helps uncover hidden insights and unlock investor sentiment. 🔎 Crucially, it also helps spot patterns or connections that, in the past, could have only been found by analysts with deep expertise and plenty of time on their hands. With AI, this kind of advanced analysis is rapidly becoming democratized, allowing more individuals access to key investment insights in a quick and easy fashion. 🚀 #AI #Investing #Finance

Well done and congratulations to all the winners and participants of this year's Russell Investments International Case Competition at UW Global Business Center! 🏆 👏
The 2024 Russell Investments International Case Competition challenged over 100 students to evaluate the future of Maersk’s 2016 vertical integration strategy, in light of the evolving landscape of global supply chains. Teams took on the role of outside consultants, revisiting the pros and cons of the 2016 strategy, analyzing changes in the international business and trade environment, and presenting KPIs and financial metrics for evaluating the strategy. Based on this analysis, teams made recommendations for the future. In addition to undergraduate and graduate competitors from the UW Foster School of Business and the University of Washington Seattle campus, the competition welcomed students from three regional colleges. Teams from Highline College, North Seattle College and Shoreline Community College participated this year! Congratulations to the winning teams and to all the competitors for participating in this 48-hour intensive learning experience! And thank you to Russell Investments for making this opportunity possible for so many students! https://lnkd.in/eaqPQ7J #RIICC #globalbusiness #casecompetitions #globalbusinesscenter
