Last night's Emerging Leaders Program kick-off was an uplifting night of connection and knowledge sharing. Our 61 program participants came together to meet one another, to meet our coaching partners from Felix, and to hear from a panel of last year's participants. A key takeaway from our panel, moderated by Susan Richardson: the importance of letting go of perfection and unrealistic standards, and instead focusing on a 1% improvement to achieve your career goals in a sustainable way. Throughout the program, our coaches at Felix will work one-on-one with these women, to facilitate and enhance their professional development, while also addressing barriers that may be holding them back from advancing to more senior roles. As we know, the mid-level is a critical point in women's career — supporting women is critical to retain talent in the industry.
