As we face the destruction of the last few days, our hearts are with everyone affected by the fires and the devastating impact they are having on homes, families, and livelihoods. At this moment, our headquarters in Venice remains safe and unaffected by the fires, and we are continuing to provide full services to our young members. We are committed to the safety and well-being of our staff and youth. Staff are working diligently to ensure that all necessary precautions are in place, allowing us to maintain our services while also supporting our teams in taking care of their families and homes during this crisis. We understand that many of you may be in a position to help or want to contribute to recovery efforts. 🎙SPY Squad, our youth advocacy group, had an empowering experience attending the West Coast Convening, a two-day conference in San Diego. This event brought together youth service providers and advocates from across the West Coast to share insights, discuss challenges, and collaborate on solutions to youth homelessness in a post-pandemic world. Through SPY Squad, our youth gain a powerful voice and the chance to drive change, not just for themselves, but for their peers facing similar struggles 🗣 A special shout-out to Darren T., our dedicated Education and Employment Specialist, who chaperoned SPY Squad Chairman Daniel R. Daniel was thrilled by the opportunity to connect with others who have lived experience, forging bonds with peers from multiple agencies. It was an inspiring experience that will surely fuel even more change!
