Congratulations to our Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, Boise Employees of the Month! This December, we kicked off a new way to recognize and reward our colleagues at the Boise campus. Employees of the Month receive the title and a reserved parking spot for their winning month near the colleague entrance. Isabel Longoria, a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), was one of the two December winners, nominated by her peers. Longoria has worked in different departments across the health system from food service and transport to general surgery. She loves interacting with patients and families, as well as her team. "I love coming to work with my colleagues every day, they push me to succeed and make it a fun environment. I don't think I've been a part of such a funny, caring group of colleagues, Longoria shared." Join us in congratulating Isabel in the comments below! And, tag someone who you think should be next month's recipients. #ourcallingisyou #employeeofthemonth

🎉 A big shoutout to Amanda, who is officially joining the #Neuro #Surgical #Trauma ICU at Saint Alphonsus Health System! Amanda is graduating this month from Lewis-Clark State College, and we are so excited that she has chosen Saint Alphonsus to begin her nursing career. From the first time I met Amanda, she was very clear about her goal: the Neuro Surgical Trauma ICU. Her commitment never changed, and when she interviewed for one of these highly coveted residency spots, she didn’t just impress—she absolutely crushed it. 💥 Starting soon, Amanda will dive into our #Critical #Care #Residency #Program, training for six months to build her skills and take on some of the most complex, high-acuity care in nursing. Grateful for Saint Alphonsus and their commitment to future nurses like Amanda, providing opportunities to pursue their goals and achieve their dreams. 🌟 Congratulations, Amanda! Enjoy your graduation—we can’t wait to see you on the unit soon!

Good food and good company were shared today at the first colleague Holiday Meal Celebration of the season. Hundreds of colleagues joined us for a festive holiday meal, and our leadership team sported aprons to serve the main course and desserts. In the coming weeks, more colleagues will come together from Boise to Baker City, Oregon for these Holiday Meal Celebrations that allow us to share time with our deeply committed, compassionate team. How do you get your team’s together during the holidays? #ourcallingisyou

The Festival of Trees 40th Anniversary Gala was a magical night, driven by the mission to advance the work of the Cancer Institute in the preventative screening and treatment of cancer in our community. The sold-out event drew more than 1,000 attendees and was brought to life by the generous community support of these gala attendees, sponsors, donors, committee members, and volunteers. Thank you to Tracey and Bill Mooney, Festival of Trees Chairs, for their unwavering leadership, countless hours, and deep commitment to our Mission to expand cancer care to our region. The duo guided our work throughout the Festival in this special anniversary year, and as a cancer survivor, Tracey shared her personal experience and offered hope to all facing a similar battle. 100% of net proceeds benefit the Saint Alphonsus Cancer Institute with a mission to advance cancer care programs and services.
