About us
The Salvation Army is the nation's largest direct provider of social services. Annually, we help millions overcome poverty, addiction, and spiritual and economic hardships by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and meeting human needs in His name without discrimination in nearly every zip code. By providing food, shelter, eviction prevention assistance, emergency disaster relief, rehabilitation, after-school and summer youth programs, spiritual enrichment, and more, The Salvation Army is doing the most good at nearly 7,000 centers of operation around the country. The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Thank you to Governor Jared Polis for ringing with us this year. ♥️
It was an honor to bell ring with Gov. Jared Polis at a Walmart in Broomfield on Saturday. But also thank you to Broomfield Guyleen Castriotta, far left, for joining Major Nesan Kistan, Divisional Commander of The Salvation Army Intermountain Division. We’re grateful to Walmart for partnering with The Salvation Army on our Red Kettle and Angel Tree campaigns for more than 40 years. Our Red Kettle campaign is iconic for good reason: The funds we raise now support The Salvation Army programs and services in the Intermountain Division through all of next year. We serve about 200,000 Coloradans every year. In the Denver metro area, we shelter 1,800 people every night and provide more than 3,000 meals every day. Please join The Salvation Army Intermountain Division in #doingthemostgood in Colorado, Montana, Utah and Wyoming. Every dollar raised remains in your community. #RedKettleCampaign #SalvationArmy #CommunitySupport #BroomfieldCO #GivingBack #Colorado #GovernorPolis #AngelTreeCampaign #WalmartPartnership #ServeWithHeart #FightForGood #HolidayGiving #IntermountainDivision #CommunityImpact

There’s just one week left to round-up for good on Walmart.com! Now through December 24th, when you order your holiday essentials online from Walmart, you can round up online to support your neighbors in need. Your donations help provide toys, clothing, food, and essential resources to families in your community year-round. All Red Kettle donations stay local, so your generosity directly supports your community members in need. Together, let’s bring peace to all during the holidays and beyond. ❤️ #redkettles #givingback #christmas #communitysupport #doingthemostgood

The Red Kettles are a symbol of hope for the 27 million Americans The Salvation Army serves each year. On Saturday, Commissioner Kenneth Hodder appeared on CNN to highlight the growing need across our country and the importance of coming together to support our neighbors in need. With Christmas quickly approaching, give at a Red Kettle near you to bring hope this holiday season and beyond. #redkettles #givingback #doingthemostgood #christmas #givingseason #communitysupport

Thank you to Cedric Clark for #RedKettleRinging with us this year! The support from you and everyone at Walmart is making such a wonderful difference for those in need across the country.
They say the suit makes the man. 🎅🏾👀 Captain Patrick Connelly with the The Salvation Army of NWA and I suited up ahead of this year’s Commanders’ Challenge 📣 at store #359 Fayetteville, AR to help raise money 💵 for community members in need - and the needs are great. 1 in 3 adults in the U.S. reporting they are “just getting by” or “finding it difficult to get by” financially. By joining with the Salvation Army 🤝🏽, Walmart is using our stores to help engage the community with the iconic Salvation Army Red Kettles and Angel Trees. Customers can also roundup their online purchase and give the equivalent of a holiday meal to a local family with one click on our website or ap. Last year, Walmart customers and Sam’s Club members raised more than $34 million to support local Salvation Army units. 🙌🏽 Just think about what we can do together this year? I decided to suit up Santa style 🎅🏾 and use my passion for music to help others this holiday season. I challenge you 🫵🏾 to find a way to help others, too. #DoingtheMostGood #EachOneReachOne #TeamWalmart #OurAssociatesMaketheDifference #BeGreat #BringingOurPurposetoLife #BeInItToWinIt #SecretSauce
