  • Each year, a selection of our hard working arborists win an unforgettable trip to experience the culture, history, and cuisine of another country. This year, they had the opportunity to explore Greece. 🇬🇷 From the ancient wonders of Athens to the stunning landscapes of Crete, they visited iconic landmarks like the Acropolis and the Palace of Knossos. They also enjoyed the vibrant local villages and indulged in amazing Greek food. This trip is more than just a reward for hard work—it's a chance to unwind, grow, and connect with one another on a trip of a lifetime. Congrats to this year's winners!🏆

  • A thriving landscape starts with the right care as the seasons change. Early spring care helps your lawn, trees, and plants grow stronger, greener, and healthier all season long. ✔️ For Your Lawn: Soil testing, proper mowing, and pre-emergent weed treatments. 🌳 For Trees & Shrubs: Prune dead or damaged branches, apply organic mulch, and schedule a health assessment. 🌸 For Plants & Flowers: Refresh garden beds, feed perennials with organic nutrients, and ensure proper drainage. 👨👩👦 For Your Family: Tick and mosquito treatments - control at the nymph stage in spring is vital to year-long protection. Week Two of our Seven Life Saving Rules-Electrical Hazards: How does SavATree keep its employees safe when working near energized conductors? 1. Always identifying Electrical Hazards when present on the Job Hazard Analysis at the point of inspection 2. Reiteration of Electrical Hazards during the crew setup 3. Maintaining minimum approach distance (MAD) 10 foot work zone around primary transmission lines 4. Ensuring NO CONTACT with ANY energized wires including communication lines (when in doubt assume it’s energized) 5. Ensuring that all account managers and field staff are trained in EHAP (Electrical Hazard Awareness Program) 6. Identifying when safety zone clearance is needed by the utility (note that pole to pole wires can only be worked on by certified line clearance workers.) This is an OSHA requirement. If your tree company or landscaper is working around primary lines within 10 feet, It’s NOT ok! This is our commitment to keeping our team safe, clients and residents/tenants protected against unnecessary and unsafe practices. The photos show two Ash trees after line clearance was performed by Xcel Energy and Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC PRIOR TO TREE REMOVAL. It’s all about everyone going home at the end of the day to their families!

  • Snowstorms across the U.S. have been causing havoc, especially for trees and shrubs, which often bear the brunt. After heavy snow, assess your property and follow these tips to minimize damage: 🌲 Small trees bowed down: Gently shake the trunk to remove snow and help them stand upright. 🌿 Stressed lower branches: Bounce them from underneath to lighten the snow load. 🌳 Deformed Evergreens and shrubs: Use a broom’s bristle end to gently lift branches and reduce snow weight.
