Thank you, WISH-TV in Indianapolis, for hosting our very own Sarah Diaz and Madam Walker Legacy Center's Kristian Little Stricklen this morning on Life.Style.Live! to talk about all the excitement that will be happening on January 20th. We are thrilled that registration for both sessions is now full and we can't wait to welcome Indy families and groups for a day of service in honor of Dr. King!

About us
Seeds of Caring engages young children in service, social action and community building. From racism to homelessness, we don't shy away from the tough stuff. Instilling kindness and empathy from the earliest age, we help kids see and understand the needs in their community, then develop the social-emotional skills and confidence to make a difference.

Proud to count The Open Shelter among our strong partnerships with community organizations! (Gotta love those Barringtons, too!)
The Spirit of the Holidays is starting to fade but before it does, we have so many to thank for making the Holidays special for those we serve. Over 250 homeless & marginally housed men, women, and children were part of a Holiday Meal provided by St. Andrew & St. Agatha Churches & we helped 50 families and over 200 children through our Christmas program. Bob's Discount Furniture, Seeds of Caring, See Kids Dream (DFYF), G & J Pepsi-Cola Bottlers, Inc., Columbus Southeast Lions Club, Beautifully Flawed, Roosters | We Be Wings Franchise, Molly Barrington, her family & the Dublin Coffman community, Sandra Booth, Melynda Snider & her team from Nationwide, and so many more made it possible! See photos & read about all of the wonderful generosity HERE- https://lnkd.in/gS877_9H Thank You!

🎥 🗞️ We were fortunate to receive media coverage for both of our cities' Holiday Acts of Kindness events last month, both sponsored by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Thank you to Leila Kheiry from Indianapolis' Current Publishing, and Alissa Henry from Good Day Columbus (ABC 6 WSYX-TV) for spreading awareness of our mission and letting families know how they can get involved year-round. We appreciate you! Thank you, Jean P. Kelly, for sharing our mission. We are flattered to have an expert's endorsement and appreciate your family's participation. 🧡💚
As a person of faith, parent, grandparent and professor of service learning--which combines volunteerism with community collaboration and learning about social problems--civic engagement is a year-round imperative. But if you are looking for a kid-friendly holiday service project in central Ohio or Indianapolis now, there is still time! I cannot more highly recommend projects facilitated by Seeds of Caring. (My family made sack lunches for unhoused clients of Open Shelter). Both direct and indirect volunteer opportunities come with high-quality, age-appropriate curricula about social issues ranging from housing & food insecurity to aging and social isolation to medical challenges. Sign up is easy, now and all year: https://lnkd.in/g4NxVhMd

Thank you, Bansal fam! 🧡💚
🙏 Getting kids involved in service 🙏 This past Monday, Sunita Bansal took our girls to a service event put on by Seeds of Caring, one of my favorite nonprofits. They sang Christmas carols and made crafts to brighten up the holidays for local senior citizens. Thankful I discovered Seeds of Caring a few years ago, and appreciate the opportunities and inspiration they provide to our young people. Ultimately, they are creating kinder kids in our community. Oh - and they have some really cool merch! Outreach Promos is proud to be the merch partner for Seeds of Caring. 🌟 We are so grateful to The Columbus Foundation for their support in expanding service-based learning initiatives to students of all abilities. 🌟 With this grant, Seeds of Caring will continue adapting our curriculum so that every child can experience the transformative power of becoming a change-maker. This funding goes beyond program expansion—it redefines who we see as helpers and reminds every student of their unique ability to make a difference. Thank you, Columbus Foundation, for championing inclusion and empowerment!

We’re excited to partner with the Samerian Foundation, INC for the second year in a row! 🌟 Thanks to their generous support, thousands of children in Central Indiana will have the chance to become change-makers—donating over $10,000 worth of goods to local nonprofits in 2025! Together, we’re empowering kids to build compassion, empathy, and social awareness as they join their families in meeting community needs. Thank you, Samerian Foundation, for helping us grow a kinder, more engaged generation!
