Sometimes, using AI to level up your marketing career has very little to do with building things for "marketing" it can be stuff like a Custom GPT that Alisa Scharf built to tell stories to her 3 year old son, she found that there was an issue and asked the team for help, this is also 100% learning about AI. As it enables her and others to: 1) tell more unique stories to our kids and 2) learn about prompts, answers, custom GPT limitations, etc. Don't assume that "learning about AI" has to be marketing specific.
