Our Westby production team goes above and beyond with their daily care of our sires, including legendary sire 250HO14134 RENEGADE. RENEGADE's story was recently highlighted in the November issue of Holstein International. This high-profile sire started his journey in Westby, WI in 2017 and still resides in the same barn in which he started his career. RENEGADE's calm demeanor makes him an enjoyable sire to work with. His handler, Terry Rigby, shows his appreciation for RENEGADE by stopping to give him scratches and extra pieces of hay. Thank you, Westby production team, for your dedication! The 28th Select Sires Inc. Roy A. Wallace (RAW) Research Symposium was held in Visalia, California, last week. The symposium connects Select Sires staff, academic research experts, and allied industry members to brainstorm and create solutions for our customer-owners in the dairy and beef industries.   WWS Genetic Support Specialist, Ashley Waymire, presented the design and background of her master’s project, looking at mitochondrial enzyme activity and associations with successful embryo transfer outcomes among recipients.

Tim Abbott, co-owner of Showbox Sires, joins Ethan Haywood in Part 2 of the World Dairy Expo recap episodes.
