Fantastic article by Madeline Ricchiuto from Laptop Mag. Well done, Madeline. We're thrilled that you liked the haptic touchpad: "It is on the larger size, measuring 5.5 x 3.5 inches, so you can get a solid amount of precision control without needing to connect a mouse." 🙌 FYI, in case you don't already know, you can turn off the TrackPoint entirely in the mouse settings, under "ELAN TrackPoint for Thinkpad"

"There really isn’t much the #ThinkPad P1 Gen 7 can’t do. If you’re in the market for a workstation, this is definitely the laptop I’d recommend." 🙌 Great deep dive into all the critical benchmarks from Madeline Ricchiuto at Laptop Mag: https://lnkd.in/eD4abBgG

Another fantastic article from the powerful Benjamin Herzig at Notebookcheck Publishing GmbH - 'The return of the clunkpad? Lenovo ThinkPad trackpad comparison - Sensel vs. Synaptics' In summary, he writes: "The haptic Sensel trackpad in the Lenovo ThinkPad P1 Gen 7 delivers not only a great touchpad experience, it also works for TrackPoint users." Benjamin compares the #ThinkPad P1 G7 haptic touchpad vs the T440s touchpad (aka "clunkpad", which was generally disliked), which was released in 2014, as it's common for TrackPoint fans to still make references to that solution from 10 years ago. He presents a side-by-side comparison of the look and feel, software and usability, and even the sound profile of the two touchpads, going as far as showing a chart of the decibel levels by frequency band. This is a next level analysis, and very much worth the 5 minute read. Bravo Benjamin, bravo. 🙌🙏 https://lnkd.in/gaFC9FqX

Sometimes, you have to write about stuff that is not that interesting to you - and sometimes, you can work on a passion project. I just published such a passion project today, a deep dive comparison between two very similar looking but very different working laptop touchpads, featuring Sensel This is what makes tech journalism fun to me: take such hyper-specific topics and deliver something that can bring people a new perspective on a technology - in this case, on haptic touchpads 😎

We're honored to be the haptic touchpad supplier for this beautiful machine, Tom Butler! 😍 Many of us in the office picked up the X1C Gen 12 this year, and we love them. But now it looks like we might need to have a quick refresh cycle. 😁

I can't wait to get our new Lenovo Aura Edition laptops into the hands of our customers. If you're curious about what makes an Aura Edition different to other laptops from a user's perspective, Laptop Mag breaks it down pretty succintly, together with some great pics: https://lnkd.in/eXbpFGpT

Benjamin Herzig from Notebookcheck Publishing GmbH got hands-on with the brand-new Lenovo #ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition at #IFA in Berlin last week, and had this to say about Sensel's haptic touchpad in it: "The newest model also gets a new version of the haptic trackpad from supplier Sensel, which feels even better than before. The click of the haptic clickpad is more soft and smooth than before, better emulating the dedicated TrackPoint buttons." Coming from Benjamin, who's one of the most astute reviewers out there, and a dedicated TrackPoint user, that is a huge compliment. 🥰🙌

Here's an extremely well-done review of the Microsoft Surface Pro 11 and its accompanying Surface Pro Flex Keyboard by Daniel Rubino at Windows Central 🙏 "Speaking of the touchpad, the new haptic technology is a welcome addition. . Based on technology developed by Sensel, the new haptic touchpad is fast, accurate, consistent, and nicely adjustable. I’ve written a lot about haptic touchpads in the past and consider them a premium feature that all high-end laptops should include. Since there are no moving parts, the touchpad is less likely to fail after long-term usage. You can also adjust how much the touchpad “clicks” using built-in software and even enlarge the right-click zone to your liking (I found the default click zone too small, so through the Surface app, I went to the medium-sized one and now have no false clicks)." 🥰🚀 https://lnkd.in/gdXebTEB
